Surf's Up w/ Dinah // EBModels + Some BTS
One great thing about living in Norway is the long, warm summer evenings - even here in the southern part of Norway, the sun sets close to 23.00 and rises again a little over 03.00. On this particular evening we were hanging out in a wonderful beachfront villa with a private beach which, for pretty obvious reasons - turned out to be the perfect scenery for some images in the ocean.
Typically, the wind started to act up as we were about to shoot, so we had to try our best to prevent Dinah from drifting out to sea - but at one point we just decided to tie up the board with a long rope so we could simply haul her back when she drifted off 😂
Anyway, I really enjoy working with the contrasts and colors of the low sun - and the idea was to create a kind of “South of France in the 70’s” - analog vibe 🌊☀️ In addition we also did a couple of frames on the dock as we were wrapping up.
The wetsuit is from ION, the flares and shirt from Free People
Makeup was done Yvonne Storhaug while Håkon Monsen was the assistant.
